
Ingredients
For the Steak
- 2 filet mignon or ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Shrimp
- 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Juice of half a lemon
Creamy Garlic Parmesan Sauce
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes for a slight kick
Instructions
1. Cook the Steak
- Season steaks generously with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add steaks and sear for 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or cook to your preferred doneness.
- Remove steaks, tent with foil, and set aside to rest.
2. Cook the Shrimp
- Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
- In the same skillet, add shrimp and sear for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
3. Make the Creamy Garlic Parmesan Sauce
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Let the sauce thicken for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally until smooth and creamy.
- Stir in chopped parsley.
4. Serve
- Arrange the steak and shrimp on plates and generously spoon the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce over the top.
- Garnish with additional parsley and Parmesan if desired.
